Much debate over what to call these.  They make an excellent foot rest, but also make a very comfortable seat and fill that gap when you just need an extra ‘whatever’ to sit on.  Perfect for outdoor decking, patios and general living space.

We are making some for a beach side cafe on the Island so we were going to call them cafe stools, but somehow it is just a seat that is easy to move, use and sit on, so easy seat it is!

The cover is made from recycled sailcloth, saved from landfill.  The inner filling is recycled bean bag filling.   This is then stuffed into an inner bag made from reclaimed spinnakers.

The lighter bean bag filling makes a lovely cosy seat.   This also acts as an insulator on cold floors as well as a cushioning on hard services.

The outer cover has a velcro secured opening on the under side which allows for the inner bag to be removed.  This means the cover is washable.   We would recommend just wiping however, but if you have an accident you can throw it in the washing machine.

We will be cutting through numbers and letters on current sails which will produce the graphic style you see in the photo.  Each easy seat will be unique and not identical to the one in the photo.

We have sewn in a handy handle to drag and carry the easy seat from place to place.

Not made in China.  Hand made in Great Britain on the little ole Isle of Wight.

It is tough!  Like the pet beds the children are using it as a rugby training device.   So it has certainly undergone some vigorous testing.

The insides are made from Safefoam, which says ‘…  SAFEFOAM is a recently developed combustion modified foam, so along with comfort comes added safety SAFEFOAM is specifically designed to meet the requirements of “The furniture and Furnishings (Fire)(Safety) Regulations 1988″. Also it is ozone friendly, which means CFC’s have not been used in any part of the manufacturing process.

It was the most environmentally friendly and SAFE product we could find to go inside.

We seal our cushions so you don’t ever have to mess around with inners.   Sailcloth can withstand most spillage and can be wiped clean easily and will dry very quickly.  As outdoor cushions we didn’t think you would want to be taking the covers on and off all the time or have those annoying fasteners that others have.
