Our Work

Only just one year old and we have a number of noteworthy clients, not to mention many happy customers.   A few of our larger projects are detailed below:

Rapanui Clothing

One of the coolest companies on the Isle of Wight, Rapanui Clothing wanted a funky dressing room (changing room) screen.   We made a really funky, Mr Motivator style one, but realised that it didn’t work, so we made a plain old white one, which is more in keeping with the design.   Next time you are stripping off in Rapanui, think of us!

Our local wine merchant saw our single wine carriers and thought they would make an excellent display and addition for Wight Vodka.

We also provided Eurovines with some of our shredded sail material to use as packaging for their Wine and Cheese box.   We like these guys and not just because they give us good wine!

Ellen Macarthur Trust

We were tasked by the Ellen Macarthur Trust to make 15 deckchairs for them to use at the Bestival (another great Isle of Wight festival).  They were working with EcoIsland who were providing free mobile phone charging from solar charging.

The Ellen Macarthur Trust does some stirling work for children who have suffered from cancer, leukaemia and other serious illnesses helping them regain confidence through sailing and we are delighted to be able to help and work with them.   We provided another chair that could be signed and auctioned off at a later date.  There is more about the project on the blog, facebook and the press and our new tab for corporate projects.   The white sails worked really well with the blue in the logo and we sewed hems and chair seats with matching thread.

Safari Cornwall

We were approached by Safari Cornwall to produce a shower screen that would screen their guests using the outdoor shower.  Safari Cornwall are a luxurious camping site where camping doesn’t mean roughing it.  Far from it.   We had recently acquired a large mainsail from an American racing yacht that had blown out.  Saved from landfill and some hours later (ok days) it became a very attractive shower screen that compliments the rest of the camp site.   Please check out their website as they have an excellent set up and let’s face it, if you are going to sleep outdoors why not sleep in a bed.

Holkham Hall Beach Cafe

We were contacted by the Earl of Leicester’s residence, Holkham Hall and asked to provide an awning to be used with their newly refurbished beach cafe.   The beach cafe is part of the Holkham Estate and sits next to the beach at Wells Next the Sea.

We are awaiting the marketing photos, but have a look at our blog and our flickr account for more pictures.

Anyway, it was quite a challenge making all these windbreaks to (a) fit and (b) fit in with their designs. We worked with the estate and a design team and the end result is wonderful (but we are bias). There are plans to make more and the concrete you see in front of the windbreaks is being replaced with landscaped gardens in time. The plans look spectacular and we are thrilled to have our windbreaks in such a position.

Everyone at Holkham Hall was lovely and the estate manager and beach cafe manager were a delight to work with.

Ventnor Bunting

When Ventnor, Isle of Wight, asked for 560 odd metres of bunting we realised we had the perfect solution:  used spinnakers.   Colourful, strong, light and bright, we were very happy with results.

We are now making bunting in random colours and in red, white and blue in plenty of time for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012 and the Olympics 2012.

More pictures dotted all around the internet, but have a look at our gallery or our flickr account.

Chessell Pottery

We are delighted to say that we have just delivered our first consignment to the number one tourist attraction on the Isle of Wight, Chessell Pottery. Deckchairs, windbreaks and bags will not only be used functionally in their courtyard cafe, but they will be on sale as well.

What is more, the lovely people at Chessell Pottery have included us on their promotional flyers.

For those of you who have not ventured out to Chessell Pottery you are missing out, great fun for all the family, a wonderful courtyard cafe with the best cream teas on the Isle of Wight and that’s official.  Winners of best cream teas for years in a row, I don’t think anyone comes close.

Vintage Vacations

Prize winning Vintage Vacations commissioned us to make deckchair covers for one of their properties.   This is truly an honour as they are one of the leading holiday businesses on the Isle of Wight, regularly feature in national newspapers and media and continually win awards.   They are also lovely people and we are happy to be working with them.  Photos to follow.

Customers using our products

We have provided windbreaks to go around decking in gardens, on the veranda, on the beach front.  Sunshades, chair covers, super large outdoor cushions and other bespoke products.

We have made cushions for a trendy garden project in London and we have sent to customers in Ireland and Belgium and currently working on an order for a lady in USA.

Check out the gallery to see some of our customers using our products.  The shopping trolleys are proving very popular.

We have another large project in the pipeline and will announce the details shortly through all the normal channels.
